PP I NERE RS p NEUTRA DRIVE APPLY HERE L Fig 7E 2 Shift Linkage Check Diagram I THROTTLE VALVE LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT Correct throttle valve TV linkage adjustment ils necessary to provide the correct shift schedule As special linkage is not used to actuate the tran mission TV refer to Section 6M of this Manual for tk e adjustment procedures LOW BAND ADJUSTMENT No periodic adjustment of the low band is recommended SERVICE OF SERVICE OPERATIONS TRANSMISSION I IN VEHICLE RANGE SELECTOR ASSEMBLY Removal 1 Remove the E retainer fig 7E 4 and disconnect the control cable from the range selector assembl 2 Remove the nut securing the control cable to i ts attaching bracket on the range selector and free tl e cable from the range selector 3 Remove the instrument cluster as described n Section 12 of this manual 4 Disconnect electrical leads to the neutral safety switch and remove control lever knobs and knob screw then complete removal by removing two screws a taching range selector assembly to instrument cluster and removing the quadrant light from its clip on the selector 5 If range selector is to be replaced remove the neutral safety switch Repairs The range selector assembly is serviced only as an assembly Installation 1 If a new range selector assembly is being installe loosely attach the neutral safety switch Specif c instructions for this installation are in Section 12 v w w w W o e v i v w s1 il
